Welcome to the Training Program! You have proven to represent all aspects of K-SALT (knowledge, speed and accuracy, attitude, leadership skills, and training skills). Not everyone has the ability to be good at what they do and teach others how to be good at it too. As you go throughout this guidebook, there is much more to being a trainer than just being good at your job. You have impressed us thus far with your understanding and abilities. Congrats! This is not an easy feat and your journey is just beginning.
The primary role of a trainer is to coach and train the team. Trainers are knowledgable, work with speed & accuracy, have a great attitude, and exemplifies leadership & training skills. In the restaurant, your role is to ensure proper procedures are being followed day to day and to coach it when it is not. Trainers are the gatekeeper for proper Pathway procedures.
The Trainer workbook is designed to prepare you for the Trainer role. By the end of the workbook, you will be sufficiently equipped with the knowledge about what a trainer is, what a trainer does, and how they do it. You will walk away from this training program prepared and ready to excellently fulfill your role as a Trainer. You will be able to shift your focus and your perspective to execute our training vision day in and day out and advocate for the importance of training.
How to Use the Guidebook
Each section of this program includes plenty of informative content to read, activities to complete, questions to answer, or action items to carry out. Be sure to follow all directions, ask questions if you need to, and perform and fill out all activities. As you go through the workbook, make sure to go through every part of the site and read over every section carefully.
